Combining the chemical inertness, excellent dielectric strength, and broad temperature thresholds of PTFE with the melt-processing capability of standard thermoplastics, FEP is the material of choice for demanding micro-fluidic, medical, aerospace, and semiconductor applications. However, extruding FEP presents acute thermodynamic and mechanical challenges. Achieving stable dimensions, avoiding shear-induced melt fractures, and preventing machine component corrosion require a highly engineered, custom FEP tube extrusion line.
Across the globe, industrial reliance on FEP tubing has accelerated due to the transition to clean energy systems, miniaturized surgical devices, and ultra-pure chemical distribution.
