Polyamide (PA) corrugated tubes—particularly those structured in three engineered layers—have emerged as the global industry benchmark. To manufacture these complex components, the BAOD Extrusion 3-layer PA co-extrusion line leverages state-of-the-art process controls. Our production lines integrate three highly efficient single-screw extruders positioned to feed a single co-extrusion crosshead die. This configuration ensures uniform melt flow and precise thickness distribution across the circumference of each layer.
The system features a high-speed vacuum corrugator equipped with custom-designed mold blocks. These blocks form the corrugations with high geometric fidelity, ensuring consistent wall thickness in both the peaks and troughs of the tube. This structural uniformity is critical for sustaining high pressure without fatigue or mechanical failure.
Our automation systems monitor melt pressure, temperature, line speed, and layer thickness in real time. Closed-loop control systems automatically adjust screw speeds to maintain tight dimensional tolerances, minimizing material waste and ensuring compliance with strict automotive quality standards. With integrated industrial ethernet communication protocols, the entire line is ready to interface directly with a factory's centralized Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
